RITES OF PASSAGE

Started in the 90s, Rites of Passage holds the title of being the first official project in AMP history. The project, as the name suggests, serves as the newbies’ initiation to gig culture. In addition, Rites of Passage is traditionally held in gig bars outside of the school campus such as Mow’s, Sessions, 70s Bistro, and Route 196. Split into two nights in order to accommodate the diversity of new members, the project has served as a turning point for many---a game-changer where members form or deepen their love for the local music scene.

CAMP UNITY

Camp Unity is one of AMP’s most awaited internal projects, being a three-day and team building event usually held outside of the city. The project was introduced in the late 2000s as a songwriting workshop, but has since expanded to include other activities to engage members across all departments. Centered around music and other forms of related media, this serves as one of the organization’s biggest community-building and member engagement initiatives.Last year's CAMP Unity utilized the hybrid set-up with on-campus venues; however, off-campus venues will still be explored moving forward.

AMPlitunes

AMPliTunes is a 2-part project that serves as the organization’s flagship. This project involves an album that features original songs submitted by members of the organization, as well as an album launch gig that is traditionally held outside of school, giving the involved artists the opportunity to showcase their original music in front of a live crowd.Featured in past AMPliTunes albums include alumni artists such as Over October, Reese Lansangan, Alyson, and Mondays at 4. AMPliTunes was successfully relaunched last school year, with features from AMP musicians such as 15J, MAYFLY, vice*, Franz Guico, and more.

RECITAL

Recital serves as the grand culmination and the final event project of the school year. It consists of performers that are grouped into 5 different chapters that follow an overarching theme. Artists, designers, sound engineers, photographers, videographers, and writers all play vital roles in the project.Held within the Ateneo campus, auditions are open to every member across all departments, both new and old alike. Ultimately, Recital is a community building effort that gathers and unites members regardless of their respective departments as they showcase the growth and development that occurred throughout the entire school year.

AMPlugged

As one of the two year-long projects of Ateneo Musicians' Pool, AMPlugged provides musicians exposure through video features, while also providing creatives with an avenue to develop their skills. Through the interviews, live sessions, and music videos released, the musicians and the production team alike are challenged to record quality music, execute quality design, filming, and video editing for the creation of such features.

More projects coming your way so stay tuned!
